AJ Swanson has been the Director of Youth and Children at Christ Community Church in Frisco for the past 5 years. A self described beach bum (13 years Florida) with a southern accent (13 years in North Carolina), AJ has worked with youth and children since his conversion in 1999. His background in camps and teaching makes him a unique fit to work with Children and Youth. AJ has a Masters of Religion from Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, NC. Along with a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. AJ has been married to his wife Corrie since 2008 and has two kids (Steven and Piper).

Roctober Topic 2016: American Idolatry

John Calvin said, “Man's nature, so to speak, is a perpetual factory of idols.” We all are worshipers. And by we all, I mean everyone on the planet, not just the religious. Our weekend's topic hopes to help students see the idols in their culture and the idols in their own lives. What are you putting before Christ? What is vying for your attention?
